Canada Trip 2024 Special Policy

  1. This policy is addition to the Satellite Ski Club Trip Signup and Refund Policy (satelliteskiclub.org/resources/satellite-ski-club-trip-signup-refund-policy/), but does not replace it.
  2. The estimated cost of the trip is based on the current exchange rate. If the rate changes significantly before final payments are made to the hotels and Bus Company, the cost may vary from the estimate.
  3. Group airfare is impractical for this trip. The United Airlines policy for groups in North America is different than the policy for flights to Europe. Group fares to North American destinations require that all names be submitted and full payment be made at the time of booking. In addition there is no price advantage.
Because of this, all Canada trip participants must book their own airfare. The flights that group is taking (“group flight”) is posted on the Canada Trip webpage and is not expected to change.
  4. It is highly recommended that participants book the flights posted on the webpage.
  5. Prices of the flights change daily. It is unlikely that everyone on the trip will get the same price.
  6. If a participant chooses different flights than what is posted on the Canada Trip webpage, they are responsible arriving prior to the group flight to Canada to insure they don’t miss the bus. The return flight should depart after the group flight as the bus is scheduled to meet the group departing flight. The Satellite Ski Club is not responsible if the airline changes the flight times for the group flight.
  7. Once the ticket is purchased, you own it. It may be possible to change the name or flight dates depending on the class of service provided. The Satellite Ski Club cannot refund the cost of an airline ticket. If a participant cancels and a replacement is found, it is the participant’s responsibility to execute the name change.
  8. Consider purchasing travel insurance.
